Under the pen name The World or Nothing, Brazilian illustrator Giulia Beck seeks to bring to life whimsical characters and landscapes inspired by childhood memories, daily life and her passion of nature.

An architecture graduate, Giulia stepped away from the field in 2024 to dedicate herself to illustration for picture books. She has since used the skills and experience she’s gathered to fuel her work.

Her favorite techniques are watercolor, gouache and ink.She has exhibited and sold artworks throughout the Netherlands, a place she happily calls home since 2020.
